Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas everyone. I hope every had a great Christmas, I know we did. It sure was busy though.

We are proud to announce that Mike and I have a new niece as of Dec. 21st. Her name is Ellie Suzann. She weighed 8lbs, 3oz. She is beautiful and looks just like Katelyn did when she was born. Jenni and the baby are doing well. It was a great christmas present for the Bishop family.

More baby news...I can now announce that my brother and his wife are expecting their second child at the beginning of Aug. We are very excited about this. Little Amelia is going to be a great big sister (as long as grandma doesn't hold the new baby...lol)

Christmas was great. The girls received so many new toys. Brooke is in heaven with all the new babies and accessories she has now. Alli got new items for her horse room and she also got riding lessons from Santa. We were able to start them this week due to the cold. Hopefully in the next couple weeks though. I will have to post some pictures soon.

Hope everyone has a safe and Happy New year.

Talk to ya in 2010.

It certainly has been awhile since my last post. We have been very busy around our house. We had a great Thanksgiving. This past week we celebrated our 5th anniversary. We mad it to the first big milestone I guess. We did actually go out this year. With Alli's birthday the same day we have kind of put it off and made over her but this year we went out. We just went to the Olive Garden and then had some drinks. It was relaxing and a good time. The next week we had Miss Alli's big 4th birthday horse party. On her birthday (11th) we took her to lunch and to see the Princess and the Frog. It was a very cute movie. Sat we had her party at my mom and dad's. We had horses everywhere. She was super excited and I think everyone had a good time. We are now gearing up for the next two weeks of chaos.

Mike and I will have a new niece or nephew no later than the 21st. Mike's brother Matt and his wife are expecting their third child this week. If the baby isn't here by the 21st the Dr will induce. So a wonderful little Christmas present for all the Bishop's is on it's way.
Alli received her first report card from school last month and she did very well. We have her first Christmas program on Friday.
Brooke is now talking up a storm and still loving the baby dolls. She will sit and talk to them for hours.
Nothing else really to report. I will write again after Christmas and let you all know about the good news.
I hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas!

Alli's surgery

Well Alli made it through surgery with flying colors. She hasn't been complaining of pain that much until today. Perfectly normal and we expected it to start getting bad the 3rd or 4th day. The real problem we are having right now is that she cannot sleep. She is so tired but her body will just not shut down. We thought it was from the medicine but the dr seems to think it is from the pain.
We have about 7 more days til she starts feeling better. At least that is what the dr is telling us.

Thanks for all the prayers everyone

What a week

Well the festival has ended and I have to say even with all the rain this week it was a great week. Our little Quack Pac won the Pet Parade. It was a lot of fun. The girls are so proud of their metals. We are thinking of ideas for next year now.

My mom did her first half marathon yesterday. She did great. She walked and finished it in 3:14. I am so proud of her. we are trianing for another one that the proceeds go to the American Diabetes Association. It is April 11, 2010. Hopefully my dr will clear me and I will be able to start training as well.

Hunter has now been on 4 billboards around town. he is on the far right. (Mike has only been on one)

Alli surgery is tomorrow. i am sure everything is going to go well but we will let everyone know for sure.

Alli Boo Update

Hello everyone,

Well the Fall Festival has kicked off and has been going strong. Yesterday was disappointing for the kids with special needs. Due to the rain the Nut Club has to cancel the special needs day. The nut club did take prizes and cotton candy to the schools that afternoon though which I am sure the kids enjoyed.

My girls, along with my niece and some of my brother's friend's kiddos are going to be in the pet parade on Sat. I am very excited to share pictures of that day. I think everything will be so cute. The name of our float is the "Quack Pack"

We took Alli to the ENT yesterday. We have been having some issues with her throat. Dr. Finch took one look at her throat and said that her tonsils were nasty and very large and needed to come out. She said they couldn't wait to get them out, so Alli is scheduled for surgery next Tues. the 13th. I think that she will do just fine. The surgery is only about 30 mins. Dr. Finch said she would be down about 8-10 days and i just laughed. i will believe it when I see it.

Brooke is hanging in there. Not sick so far. Her nose is healing just fine. She is getting a little bossy right now. She won two fish at the festival the other day. Alli won one too. So we will see how long our 3 additions survive.

Well, I will update on Sat after the parade and certainly after Alli's surgery.

Happy Fall everyone.

Wow, it has been awhile

Wow, I just realized how long it has been since I have updated my blog. Well since my last post in Aug we haven't had a whole lot happen. Alli is enjoying school very much. Every week it is so exciting to what she has learned. I have seen her mature so much in the past month and half. We are starting to plan her big HORSE party for her 4th birthday in December. She is very excited about this. She is now telling everyone she is getting a real horse for her birthday. I hope she will settle for a bike instead.

Brookie Boo has really come into her own this past month or so. She is very laid back and is concerned about everything. Her big thing right now if Mike or I lay our phones down she picks them up and brings them to us saying "here is your phone" It is actually kind of cute the way she says it. she still doesn't understand why she doesn't get to go to school with Alli. I enjoy being able to spend a couple hours a week with just Brooke though. We are praying that Brooke doesn't have a winter like last one. Everyone keep their fingers crossed.

I turned 32 at the beginning of Sept. Mike did some landscaping for me. It was very nice. Mike is staying busy at work.

Oct. is going to be a busy month. Next week is the Fall Festival so we are excited about that. Can't wait for the food. At the end of the month we have some good friends who are getting married. Long time coming for them. Mike and I are both in the wedding. I think it is going to be a great time.

Hope everyone is doing well.

1st Day of School!!

Well, this week Alli started preschool and did absolutely great. So far she is loving every minute of it. Monday we took her to her classroom and she actually told me "Mommy I am ready for you to leave now." We had only been there maybe a minute. I was very proud of her. Honestly it made it easier for mommy too. Mike won't admit it but I think he was a little sad that our baby was going to school too. Anyway, on Monday they learned the letter A and Wednesday they learned all about the color Red. Hopefully her enthusiasm will continue.

Summer's coming to an end

Well, summer has flown by. Mike survived another annual canoe trip a couple weeks ago. Out big adventure now is Alli starts preschool on Monday. We had orientation today and she was so excited. Once we got to school you could tell she was a little nervous but I think she will do ok. Brooke is doing great. She thinks she is going to school with her big sis.

Other than that not much to report lately. Will let you know how Monday goes for Alli and mommy.

Catch up for Summer

Well, it has been awhile since I have blogged. I guess i will start with the Riggs Decathlon.
It was June 27th (the hottest day of the year so far). We had a great showing a people come out this year and I think everyone had fun despite the heat. Everyone made it through all 10 events. The trophies didn't stay on Riggs this year but there is always next year.

Next we had 4th of July. We had a party to go to on Friday and then had a few friends over at house for wings and fireworks.

This week is the 4-H fair and Alli has been waiting for the horses. The big day of showing and jumping was Wed and of course it rained but we didn't let that stop us. Alli got up and said "mommy I am not scared of a little rain. the animals at the fair like the rain. Can we please still go?" How on earth was I supposed to say no to that. So, me, Alli, Brooke, my mom, sister, sister-in-law, niece, and even Mike went to the fair. the kids loved it.

Everyone has been doing great. I have added a few pics of the girls that are just them being funny.

Trip to Lena

Well, we just got back from our trip up to visit Brian and Jess. We left for the 7 hour trip with Jason and Laura Thursday morning and stayed until Sunday. We had such a great time. It is such a wonderful feeling to know that you have great friends even if you don't see them much. Brian and Jess thank you so much for having us up for a visit.

Hope everyone enjoys the pics.
Oh and the girls did just fine with us being gone.

Well, Brooke is finally getting her new big girl room. It is still a work in progress but so far going well. She will get her new big bed comes on Sat. Here are just a few pictures.

Alli also got two new playmates. Buttercup and Carmel. For those of you that do not know this, Alli is obsessed with horses.

Right now there isn't anything else to report.

Mother's Day

I am hoping that everyone had a tremendous Mother's Day! I know I did. My girls (and daddy of course) made me breakfast on Saturday instead of Sunday. It was very yummy. Sunday I took the girls to church while Mike stayed home and packed. He had to leave for Nashville that afternoon for SkyNarc School. We spent part of the day with Mike's mom and then went to my mom's. Having everyone together made the day so special. I hated that Mike had to leave and miss out on the fun but he got to see everyone for a little bit at least. I cherish everyday with my girls, my mom, and all the other mother's that are so important in my life. I was kind of sad that night looking back at pictures and seeing just how fast my babies are growing up.

I hope everyone didn't float away during the rain storms we have had. I think total our basement probably took on a couple inches of water at one point. It was a mess and with Mike out of town it was all on me. It didn't take too long to get everything back in order but it certainly wasn't what I had planned.

Brooke continues to get better. She is finally getting rid of the bladder infection that was making her feel so terrible. I am hoping that getting a big girl room will make her feel even better. I am hoping in the next couple of weeks to be able to paint and start putting her Ladybug room together. I am so excited and think it is going to be so cute. I will post pictures when it is finished.

Warm Weather

Well, I can say there is not too much to report right now. We are slowly getting back to a normal routine with semi-healthy kiddos. Knock on wood it will continue to be that way through the summer. We have been enjoying the warmer weather.
We had a wonderful Easter and we are getting ready for a special birthday this month. My niece Amelia turns one at the end of May.
Mike and I are going away for a short vacation with some friends in June. We are going up north to visit friends that I have not met yet. I am very excited.

I will post new pictures soon. Hope everyone is well.

Brooke is 2

Well, Brooke turned two this past Saturday. We had her party at my mom and dad's house. It was a beautiful day. I think Brooke and everyone else had a great time. She certainly was tired when we came home.
I thought we may need to postpone her party because my mom was admitted to the hospital on Thursday because of chest pains and tingling down her arm. The dr. admitted her for a few reasons. She was having chest pains for 4 weeks, we have a very strong family history of heart problems and she wanted a stress test done quicker. The stress test showed that she has a leaky valve but nothing to worry about at this time. Everything else so far has checked out and that it may be muscle related or acid reflux. Mom is still having chest pains and just doesn't feel well. She will go back in two weeks and hopefully we will have more answers.
That is all to report for now. Hope everyone is enjoying the wonderful weather.
